Jonathon is a man who is helping to rebuild Willow Brook, and is the representative of the town's people when discussing this with Tudagub. He accepted funding from Tudagub to rebuild the town but however spent some of it on expensive drink. He agreed with Tudagub's plan to build a temple to Jexal, but also insisted that it be partially in worship to John.
Tudagub indicated a desire to murder Jonathon after he spent a lot of the money on expensive ale and beer. Jonathon attempted to justify it with the concept of 'all work and no play' against Vincent's claim of dishonesty. Vincent then warned him of the seriousness of the situation and Jonathon was drunkenly hurt.
